Explanation
There are seven recognized types of Tawaf: Tawaf-ul-Qudoom (performed upon arriving in Makkah, also known as the welcome Tawaf), Tawaf-ul-Ziarah (mandatory Tawaf during Hajj), Tawaf-ul-Wada (farewell Tawaf before leaving Makkah), Tawaf-ul-Nafl (optional Tawaf performed anytime), Tawaf-ul-Umrah (part of Umrah rituals), Tawaf-ul-Nazr (performed if vowed upon fulfillment of a wish), and Tawaf-ul-Tahiyaah (performed upon entering the Haram and is recommended). After completing Tawaf, it is encouraged to pray two units behind Maqam-e-Ibrahim if possible.
